Billy Joel and Elton John in Concert!...AGAIN
Entry Date: 04/20/2003

Saturday April 19, 2003 I saw the two Paino Men do their thing again but this time I was in Fargo, North Dakota. I have added the pictures I took to the Photo Gallery, just click here to see the photos.

I met a lot more great people at this concert.

Well I came ready with Sharpie pen and some photos I printed from the concert in Saint Paul (Thanks Robyn) and was determined to at least get Billy Joel's autogrpah if at all possible. Well I GOT BOTH AUTOGRAPHS. You can see them by clicking here.

For over half the concert I was lucky enough to have found my way to the front of the stage right smack in the middle and got some great pictures that you can see on the photo page.

The Fargo concert was a far more energetic show from Billy and Elton, however the Saint Paul concert had a much better feel and audience.

Billy Joel and Elton John in Concert!
Entry Date: 04/19/2003

Thursday April 17, 2003 the two Piano Men; Elton John and Billy Joel, were in concert in Saint Paul, Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center. I met a "ticket broker" outside the arena that "upgraded" my four tickets to 5th ROW ON THE FLOOR!

I met some great people, one of which was Robyn who sat next to me and managed to bring in a digital camera. She forwarded me her pictures and I have them here. THANKS Robyn.

New Front Home Page!
Entry Date: 02/16/2003

Well it is finally here. I found a few extra hours and was able to complete the toughest part of my long desired upgrade of my home page. There are still a number of "dead" or broken links on the page but I hope to fix these up over the next few weeks.

After 2 years with nearly no changes to my original home page (click here to see the layout of the old page the links are disabled) I finally decided what areas and items I would likely keep updated or want others to be able to see on my pages.

This new and improved page has a lot of what used to be here and a little new. Browse around and let me know what you think.

The Reiners family tree can be traced back to the late 1800's in Germany. Two of three brothers immigrated to America while the other brother and a sister stayed in Germany. Their father John Gerhard Reiners is the oldest relative thus far in this line.

Not much work has been done on the Reiners tree in the past ten years

Freel Main Page - View Coat of Arms -

The Freel family tree traces its roots back to John Freel from Donegal Ireland. He was born sometime in the mid 1700's and was a tailor for the Loyalists in the Niagara area. He was a part of the noted Butler's Rangers and upon his death his wife Deborah Morgan Freel received compensation of land in the Niagara area where the family homestead still remains to this day.

We have come to a hard dead end at this time and have not worked on this family tree for a number of years now.

Ulstad Main Page - View Coat of Arms -

The Ulstad family tree can be traced back to Norway in the mid 1500's. Nearly three hundred years of anscentors can be found in Norway. Family names tied to family farm names include Kleven, Gresset, Kyllo, Trµlstad, Staurset, Moen, Kval, Torget, Hastad, Korstad, Moen, and Bjorken.

Erstgaard Family Tree

  Last Updated February 15 2003

Ertsgaard Main Page - View Coat of Arms -

The Ertsgaard family is still one of the mysteries in our research. We know that Ertsgaard was not the original family name but was adopted upon immigrating to America. A family story tht Adolph changed the name from Gulbranson or Gilbertson due to the fact that there were so many Gulbransons and Gilbertsons in the midwest where he was immigrating to. Instead it was suggested he take a name that might referr to an area nearby their place of origin.

Ertsgaard, unfortunately literllay translated means "east plain or plateau" which gives us little to narrow down the known area of Norway that the family may have originated from. It is believed that the area may be somewhere around Oslo.
